Abstract:
The use of new engineering techniques in the field of rehabilitation has been increasing at a rapid rate over the last 2 decades due to increases in computational speeds and associated technologies. The use of robotics,imaging/signal analysis techniques and novel electrode design has resulted in novel ways to quantify and treat movement impairment following neurological deceases such as stroke, CP and spinal cord injury. This symposium will try to bridge the gab between the latest development in novel engineering techniques and its application in the field of neuro-rehabilitation.
