The profession of biomedical engineering is continuing to expand its applications and impacts on other disciplines. This makes it particularly critical for students to not only master technical knowledge, but to also develop influential leadership and the vision of professional development. Four special sessions have been arranged, solely for the benefit of bioengineering students.

3.   Students: The Movers and Shakers of EMBS
Co-Chairs:
Winston Tran and Lisa Lazareck
International speakers, including student and faculty leaders, will discuss the "nuts-and-bolts" of student involvement, IEEE-EMBS student chapter/club formation, and the personal/professional/societal benefits associated with it. Grasp the opportunity to meet and interact with some of the leading EMBS student chapter members, as well as leaders engaged in integrating biomedical engineering, professionalism, and leadership for the benefit of the society.

4.   Survival 101 for BME Graduate Research
Co-Chairs: Aimee Betker and Guruprasad Madhavan
A valuable session for any student aspiring to venture into graduate BME research. Gain tips from faculty, post-doctoral, doctoral, and graduate panelists on how to successfully navigate through the MS/PhD research/educational development process and accomplish the best. You can not afford to miss this session!
